To open a death benefit pension account on behalf of your client:
- Log in to Adviser Online
- Select Applications and click Open an account
- When asked ‘Is this a death benefit pension?’, click Yes.

You’ll need to provide certain additional documents to open a new death benefit pension. This is to ensure that it is compliant and created correctly. We’ll request:
- Tax File Number of the deceased
- date of death
- date of birth of deceased
- name of deceased
- the rollover from an existing death benefit pension
- a death benefit rollover benefit statement for any rollovers received.
